– 2023/08/14: Interested in undergraduate research? We are recruiting!

We are currently looking for undergraduate students who are interested in undergrad research long term (> 1 year):

  • Preferably Freshman/Sophomore/Junior (1st-3rd years).
  • Basic molecular biology + lab experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

Your main task will be assisting in projects focused on building our understanding of the mechanisms underlying R-loop formation. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in molecular cloning, CRISPR-Cas9, and other technologies. While much of the project will be wet-lab based, there is also opportunity for bioinformatics work utilizing high performance computing resources.

Interested students should email a resume* to Ethan Holleman (etholleman@ucdavis.edu) with the subject “Undergraduate research Chedin lab”.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

– Ethan
